Someone just scored a nice Overdrive Gearbox on e bay.

I bid but got too high for me.

[h=1]Triumph TR3 OVERDRIVE Transmission just sold for $2,129.00.[/h]

Whew! I've paid less than that for entire cars with the OD!

According to the seller he had taken several TR3s apart in 1968 and stored the parts in 55 gallon drums (airtight and water proof) This OD had less than 35K miles on it.

Well, I hope it works out for him -- that is less than what I paid for mine from John Esposito / Quantumechaincs -- but not very much less. That was fully rebuilt & warranteed unit that included a new harness, relay, angle drive and column switch.

I installed a complete overdrive transmission out of a Triumph TC 2500 sedan in my TR4. Not a straight swap, but doable.
