Over Heard At the Doctors Office

On a recent visit to my Dr. for a quarterly check up I was sitting in the waiting room minding my own business when I over heard two guys talking. Now most times I just tune other peoples conversations out but this one caught ny attention. The two guys that were talking new each other and one asks the other about his family then the other asks how he is getting along and the guy says, " I am getting on well as long as I take my pills, if I don't take my pills I hear voices and they tell me to hurt myself." Luckily I was called in at that point and din't have to hear the rest of this conversation. What are the strangest conversations you guys have ever heard at the Dr.'s office?

Regards John

Having been in pharmacy for 30 years, I've probably heard or been asked almost anything imaginable.

Some need to be taken very seriously....others are simply laughable (later).

At my last checkup "assume the position; and don't you go enjoying this or I'll have to refer you to another doctor down the street"

Oops is really scary when the doc is working on you.

In a hospital in Leeds, England an elderly woman sitting
in a large stuffed chair called over to me and the Mrs.

"I 'ad me foot off yesterday, I did!"

And sure enough, she was indeed missing a foot.

A not so happy moment when one loud mouth was bragging to his friend on how he buffaloed his way into getting a handicap parking tag. Everyone heard him including the doc. I started to feel better after that.

A special moment when an autistic child surprised me by giving me and everyone else a hug goodbye like we were one of the family. I have since seen her during the summer months in her front yard waving to people driving by and think how special this person is. A lot of us including myself could learn a lot from her about taking a moment to just be a little friendlier to one another.
