Out for a short drive

Central Kentucky weather in the sixties. TR-6 sitting in garage for 2.5 years. Fifteen minutes and a fresh battery = a run in the country side. The old car ran great and straightened out the curves. Ten and half miles later and smiles galore. The old car preformed with out a hitch.
I had forgotten how much fun the car could be. When she went out she was dusty. When she came back most of the dust was gone.
Just a few ramblings from someone who had forgotten the fun of driving a true "sports car"
Did anyone else take advantage of this great weather?

No unfortunately not today. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif Had a great run yesterday though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif A little nippy out in the New England area but great for this time of year. Nothing like a little envigorating cold weather drive to wake you up. BTW - Welcome to the forum! Of course now that your here I'll expect you to get that 6 out a little more often!

Yes, but I played golf instead of driving. I just decided it was over for this season yesterday after a 10 mile run up and down the highway. Tomorrow mine goes into the body shop for some additional under car painting and bumper removal. after that, it's gauge cleanup time and then it will be spring and we start driving all over again.

Please forgive me, I didn't notice until I read Harry's post. Welcome to the forum!! Come back often.

Welcome RCH, and yes it was a great day for a short run. I think the temp here in Southern Indiana was in the upper 60's like 68 or so. Got out for about an hour.

Welcome - and yes I took full advantage of the weather and played with the TR all day!

Temps in the 60's for 4 straight days (normal in upper 40's here) so drove the TR3 3 of the 4 days and played golf twice (in additon to home maintenance, mowing up leaves, etc). Great to be outdoors tho.

You are lucky. The golf courses here are closed. It's been warm enough, but they say they have to close sometime and better to have it done before the snow flys.
Oh Yeah, I woke Ol Yeller up yesterday. Nice ride, even with the top up.

Welcome!
Got our TR6 out a week ago - weather was great!
By the time I got back,it was clouding over.
Stopped at a local parts store, one of the partsmen said
"What are the odds of that?",to which I said "What's that?"
To which he replied "Having a Triumph at each end of the parking lot".
I went up to the owner of a Spitfire, & said -
- "Who makes Trumph?"
Met another owner.

The weather here the last two days was great. Was out driving the 6 a few times. Gotta love it!
