Thanks guys! I spent every spare second of my life on it for 2 months getting it to this point. It's nice to see it come together and run.
That engine is basically brand new. bored, honed, decked, allign-bored, hot tanked, magnafluxed, shot-peened, balanced, etc. The head also got decked and now has hardened valve seats on the exhaust valves.
The compression was bumped up 1 point and the cam was reprofiled for better performance. It was also bored 30 over. It's a racecar!
new oil pump
new lifters
new pistons
reconditioned connecting rods
new bearings / rings
20 under crank
I assembled the engine myself with almost all new parts.... drumroll.... on the kitchen counter!!

Peter C and his wife stopped over last night and we took the car for a drive. It's got his seal of approval!
