America On Wheels had our second monthly imitation of Cars and Coffee, and though we are not in the same league, we had an interesting group of vehicles and particpants with lots of fun discussions. I hope you enjoy this brief slide show.

Some very fine cars there... but a record player!? :nonono: :cryin:

As of now, there is none in July due to being on the holiday, and the first weekend in August I will be at Das Awkscht Fescht in Macungie all weekend. I plan to get to the early part of the September and October events, but I have other late morning commitments those days precluding me from giving any tours to first time participants those weeks. I was not part of the planning committee or we would be the second weekend in July and August instead of the conflicts. Das Awkscht Fescht is the biggest car event in the Lehigh Valley each year. I hope to see IanF and JerseyGirl there again this year.

Haven't seen a Ford Ranchero for quite sometime.looks to be a 68 or 69..the record player gets a 7 for originality..perfect for managing the mood at those lover lane spots!

Nice bunch of pix Dave!!

PS re: the fire truck...a very good old friend of mine is a chap named Pete Heller, from Hellerton, Pa!

We don't have a breakfast cruise that I know of here in Calgary, but of course we have the evening cruise nights, but then I guess most places have some form of that wherever enough classic cars are around for it...

Certainly a rather eclectic mix of cars that showed up (love that old Studebaker!), and the fire dep't guys love wandering the weekly car cruise here as well

And unfortunately that's not the real thing just an Intermeccanica 356, but that is a real fire truck...

Dave,

Nice shots.I noticed that the Ranchero
has a Mercury Montego front clip.Did the owner
try to tell people that this was a rare model?
The Mini looks out of place (too new).

No, he stated that it had been wrecked and the previous owner switched the front clip when he had it repaired. It also has a station wagon rear hatch on the pickup bed. It was his every day driver for a few years in NYC, so it was banged up a few times as I understand.
The Mini owner had planned to bring the 59 Caddy this week, but due to the many rainy days before the show he did not get it out to be cleaned in time.

dave,

I like what you got going there. I'm only an hour or so away. If I can get the time I'll bring the Spit.
