MGB Our '75 MGB moves on her own 4 wheels

Hiya Rich,

What GREAT news!
You've been at this for a while, I'm sooo happy you have her running!

You and your son must be thrilled! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looking good. Question for you on the Webber install do they provide a vacuum port in the header for the vacuum advance or do you have to switch to a different distributor? Also did you get the manual/electric/water choke version of the Webber?

By the way if you haven’t already change the 4" rubber fuel hose that connects the hard fuel line that crosses the fire wall to the one that leads up the fender. If it cracks gas leaks directly onto your legs and shoes. It's between the heater box and the pedal box.

Since this thread was started ... thought I would repost to it. Our progress is not what Jerry's 75 MGB is seeing (or of the quality) but we are having a good time. Things are moving a bit slow as school work for my son and spring yard work is taking a priority. Today being 'Mother's Day' was devoted to Mom and her list of projects ... although she was gone for a short spell and I was talked into getting the MGB out in the backyard. My son will be learning to drive soon (this summer) and so I was convinced that letting him practice someplace safe was smart. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So ... video taped him making the loop in the backyard. The excitement and thrill is exactly what a dad is looking for and figured you guys would appreciate it too.

Wow Rich!

That video is great!

You guys must be getting really excited! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It must be a great feeling, I wish I had the time, space and knowledge to be doing more of my work myself. But, I'm learning. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Your son must be getting really eager to get his license.

Fantastic!!! Thanks for the update. The MGB sounds good, too. Rich, if you are lucky, YOU just might get to drive it sometime. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
