Yikes, that hurt ! Hope the driver is okay as sure that bent wheel felt good. And they still want almost 23000 pounds !
 
23,000#'s - they are kidding right? If I can add and that's questionable would that not be about $37,000?
 
24,000 pounds!!!! That guy is dreaming in technicolor. And if it's fresh from a restoration it was one that didn't include the engine, or maybe the brakes?

If a safety column had been fitted to prevent the steering wheel coming up to the driver then I have to say that the car would have stood up well to a major shunt from a drivers point of view.
 
Just read the ad again. It says the insurance payout was 60,000 pounds!!!! If true the insurance company was taken to the cleaners.

On a related issue. I really like that version of BRG. The Sebring cars of 1960 (or 61?) ran in that colour and I saw one of them in the flesh a couple of months ago at the Midland Centre Concours here in the UK. Beautiful car, and with a green hardtop just like this one.
