Other types of Minilite look alike wheels?

I'm shopping around for a set of Minilite/panasport like wheels. I know American racing make "Silverstone" and Konig make "Rewinds." I'm working on tracking down a type made by AMP(?) I saw the other day. I was talking to a Minilite sales guy (who wanted $350/wheel) and he mentioned there were about 40 different minilite knockoffs. Does anyone out there know of an other brand?

i know that some old saabs use similar alloy wheels and you can sometimes find them on ebay. but if you are looking for a new set go to victoria british. i think they have the best prices although their service sucks if we compare it to moss.

let us know what you find cause eventually i do want to buy a new set of wheels.

Vicky Brit and Moss both sell some off-brand minilite copies. There are also brands called Minator, Mintex, and Enkei used to make a knock-off as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Try victoriabritish.com. I think I saw a recent add for 5.5X15 minilite "look alikes" for $695 (for 4 new ones). Also, there are a few "real" but old minilites that come up on eBay. There is a SAAB repair shop in CO that comes up with an occasionl set (that will fit up on TR6's) and he sells them on eBay. The last ones were:
SAAB 99 900 C900 (1979-1987) and MG MINILITE wheels Item number: 7951999485 $485 (I think) and you have to pay shipping

If this guy gets 2 or 3 sets a year in CO there are probably several other SAAB dealers out there that get an old "race" Saab in for parts.

Let us know what you find.

I've had both the Minator and Mintex. Hard to tell apart, but for some reason the Minators seem to look better. Both are first rate product, former from VB, latter from Moss.

Konig has stated mfging a minilite replica. They are available in limited sized right now and prices are $125 per wheel. They have indicated they will not do a 3 3/4" x 4" spacing for Spits. Pooh.
