I have always been a fan of air cooled cars. I have had VWs o'plenty, most recently a really nice 69 squareback, and a 74 Ghia . Never had a Porsche tho, but a 911 is on my list of cars I still need to own. I have gone the other way with aircooleds. I have started a complete restoration of a 67 corvair coupe. One thing I would like to do is to combine the camper stuff from a westie, and a Greenbriar. Then I would have a camper van that will accelerate uphill too. Nice cars all.

A friend of mine has multiple 911's... four or five IIRC. He started buyin' 'em back in the mid '70's and can't seem to get rid of even one of 'em. Now he needs to "cull the herd" and is selling a 308 Ferrari instead of one of the Porsches.

He's got it BAAAD. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Always liked VW's. I've had an 87 SCirocco 16v and a 91 VW Passat that I still use for a daily driver. Love those VW 2.0 Liter 16v engines. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
