MGB-GT Other small progress

Needed a night off last night, so I didn't make much progress on the GT. I did take a few minutes to install some small bits that came with my last parts order -- new tail light lenses and a standard shift knob. Little things for sure, but the old lenses were cracked and the car came to me with an aftermarket shift knob that I really didn't like. Cheap things, chipping away at all the little issues.

Very neat, Drew. I did the same tail-lamp lens replacement on Mitsy's roadster. I like the amber turn signal lenses. At the front I used clear for the running lights, amber for turn signals. Considering getting LED replacement lamps for all, too. When/if some "spare" funds appear. :jester:

Thanks, Doc. As an aside, those amber turn signals are correct for this car as it was (I assume, being RHD) sold in the UK originally. My previous '70 MGB had the square versions with the same color pattern.

LED lamps are on the list as well for the (distant) future, probably when I get around do redoing the wiring. Not sure which decade that will be in, though.

Looking good!

I put the early lenses with amber tops on the GT as well, and went with all clear front markers/turn signal lenses with amber bulbs for the turn signals.
