Other Britcar Racers?

Hello to all. I'm a new member from Byron, IL. I currently have two British Cars, though neither are street cars. The first is a Lola T90-90 which is a Sports 2000 class racer which run a 2.0 Ford Pinto Motor. My newer and less common car is a Mallock U2 Clubman, Mk 11B. The Mallock has a 1600 cc Ford Kent Crossflow engine with twin Weber 40 DCOEs . Mallock, like Lola was a British race car constructor from the late 50's. They were and are popular club racers in the UK but rarer over here. So I'd be glad to hear from anyone else who has experience with these cars. The Mallock is new to me this year and I will take it vintage racing in the 2009 season.

Can I post a pic here?

Welcome, Mark!

We love pictures - check out the buttons above the screen where you type your message. If you have pictures in Photobucket, etc., you can link by clicking on the "Image" icon (fourth from the left).

Welcom Mark! Yes, there are two ways to add images to your post. One is to add the URL of the image and surround it with UBB Image tags. Click on the FAQ link above and view the topic "How do I add an image to my message?" That will show you what I mean. If you are in the FULL EDITOR you can click on the "Enter an Image" icon:
image.gif
and just enter teh URL to the image.

The other option is to click on "file manager" to add an attachment (must be in full editor). Again, click on FAQ and view the topic "How do I create an attachment". If you add an attachment and it is small enough file size, it will appear as is in the message, but if its larger, you will end up with a link that people much click on to view the picture, like this:

Welcome Mark! You have found heaven on the internet here at BCF!! It is a GREAT site. There is a big (imo) racing forum and lots of knowledge there. Where is Byron? I live in Chicago.

Welcome Mark from a fellow Brit car nut and racer. Which organizations have you been racing with? I've been racing with MC off and on for the last 15+ years. Currently off again as I sold the Spridget and I'm building a Mini for the track.

Welcome Mark!

Another Brit-car (Spridget) racer here. I also have a NASA car.

We have two Mallocks that show up at some of our VRG vintage races here in the northeast (One owned by the guy from New England Classics in Conn....I forget his name. He always seems to have Mallocks, Turners, etc.) His has a Toyota twin-cam.

I also knew Peter Graves, who is active in vintage Sports 2000 cars here in the northeast (he is an officer in the VS2 club).

Look forward to seeing pictures of your cars.

Welcome indeed! I'm something of a Mallock fan, too. When I was a boy, Arthur Mallock was a "courtesy" uncle - my sister and I called him "Uncle Arthur".
I well remember towing the as-yet unpanelled U2 Mk1 from Arthur's house, a vicarage near Brands Hatch, to Brands for a practice day - the first public appearance. I have a photo somewhere - I must look it up.
It's wrong to say "was" a constructor - they still are. Mallock Sports still builds U2s today - that's the domain of Richard Mallock, the elder of Arthur's sons, and RML (Ray Mallock Ltd., the younger son) are into all kinds of motor sport.
Look 'em up on the web!

Hi Mark, welcome to the house of fun! You have found car-guy paradise, right here.

As mentioned, we love pictures. Drool cups are a standard fitment on our computer keyboards.
