Very Cool...so you get both cars then?

Cheers,
M. Pied Lourd

Just the V6 one actually. I was 2nd in line for the package, and the guy who bought both (package deal) only wanted one and asked the original own who he should contact for green one.

I'm pretty stoked, it's basically turn key for VARA events which is the big West coast vintage racing group, and it's road legal so I can use it on the touring events that I like to do down here. And of course that opens up one more car, so get down here for some warm fall weather and drive the Oct 11th event with me man!

Seemed like a no brainer since it was actually cheaper to do this than finish the Volvo.

Skip,

More pics when you get it please. My Neighbour down the street from me has two of them.

Cheers,
Tush

I had a red '73 with the 2.6L and a four-speed when I was in college in the early '80s. What a great car! It got smashed in a accident (not my fault) and I replaced it with a '74 (first year of the DOT bumpers -- ugh!) that had the 2.8L and an automatic. Cars were like night and day -- by '74 the Capri seemed well on it's way to being a Mercury Mustang II.

Nice catch!!! A road legal vintage racer and it was in my budget.....see what you miss when you don't keep your options open! How do you handle things with your auto insurance company?

Tom,

I had a '73,2000 4cylinder,with sunroof & V6 guages.
Great road car.Paid $350 for it from the original owner.
I also have a 1970 & 1971 factory shop manual for
a Capri,if you're interested.

Tom,

Where are you keeping all of these and the parts that end up going with them???

Tom did you see my post on the 6 pack about it?

All I can say is that it helps to rent an aircraft hanger...and even that is getting full. LOL.

No, missed it. What forum?

(Tom assumes the brace for impact position  )

Seatbacks and tray tables up and locked!

Had a 73 V6 with a very nice cam and headers with a down draft Weber. The thing would purr along at 60 with your foot barely resting on the peddal. Great gas mileage but once you put your foot in it in would scream up to above 7000 with no problem at all.
Only problem, above a 100 it would start to fly.

This is the license plate I had on it. And I tested it regularly

Tush - here are some more pictures. Like most "lived in" race cars she has a fair share of bumps and bruises. Paint is race car quality, which is to say bad. Some surface rust to deal with but so far so good.
