original bugeye dash items

I figure if I come out and mine is gone, I will go back in and get my hand cannon and tell the wife to wait for a phone call.

Hehe, the police should be able to spot it easly. And then who would know how to start it, a pull starter, say what.

You are right Jack, you just conjured up a rather amusing mental image of a modern young thug trying to hot-wire a Sprite ignition, hehehehe!!!

Good idea on using the panel light switch for the fuel pump, though I would hate to inadvertantly bump it off while driving!

I agree Jack--sure to be included in the walk I'm sure. Just don't want to make it too sporting for them. People would laugh it they saw a scope on a snubby. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Jack:

I agree also, in my community everyone knows the unique little guys.

BTW, I started BE yesterday before we got our snow - hehehe

Only drove him up and down the driveway. I cannot recall ever starting him in January.

I forgot to explain ign switch, Porsche 911's mounted the switch on the left to save time for the old time starts, so that the car could be started and engaged in gear at the same time to save a few seconds. Just a little trivia, that Doc would know.

I haven't put alot of effort into locating the dash stuff yet either until this weekend. I started to evaluate the condition of the parts I have. Some of the knows are really bad. I think My wiper switch is seized.

I went on moss's site today looking for the turn signal switch knob. Mine is very bad but still intact. I didn't see one listed. Am I wrong? I looks like you can get most everything else.

Shealey, what are you referring to as a turn-signal switch "knob"? On the BE the turn signals (at least on both the ones I have owned)are activated by a three-way toggle switch at center dash just above the light /ign. switch.

If you have a Victoria British catalogue, #42 on pp118 is the turn signal switch. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Terry, when you say the ignition is to your left, is that because your car is RHD or did some DPO use the fuel guage hole for the ignition switch????

All spridgets were center ign. at least through mid 60s.
