I am wondering if the AH 100 in 56 were painted in Acrylic?
Nowadays when I need to repaint what shall I do?
We have tried to use Standox GN1 FL green but looks different from the rest of the car....

No the AH cars were not painted with Acrylic, they were painted using a laquer. Paint your car with any modern type paint except laquer.The old paint on your car is not going to match the original color due to its age, Get a color chip and match the new paint to it.---Fwiw---Keoke-Ciao!

Sorry but this car is not Florida Green.
Florida Green is a light pastel green.
I believe the car shown is Pacific Green.

Bruce's car comes a lot closer to Florida Green than it does Pacific.

So, if the car is somewhere between Florida Green and Pacific Green, does that make it "Kansas Green"? Or if, as you say, it is closer to Florida Green, I guess that makes it Arkansas Green or maybe even Alabama Green?

I mixed Reno Red and Colorado Red and got legalized gambling in Denver.

Hi Reid,
My car was incorrectly painted Colorado Red when I got it. The paint is still in very good condition & I have no intention of spending 10 grand or more to disassemble the car to change everything to the "correct" color. It might be Wyoming red for all I know.

Probably the original paint was cellulose (or synthetic cellulose) based. Lovely stuff - I miss the smell of cellulose thinners, but it sure was health-damaging, as well as bl%%dy dangerous!

Thats a good show and that is Florida Green as was pointed out by others. The two cars shown are the owner's interpretation of the original colors.---Keoke
