oreo drilling

I do not understand that at all, and naturally the rest of the posts refer to this as some sort of in-joke (which of course must happen when non-car people stop by here!). D'you understand why drilling holes in Oreo cookies is funny or is a pun? (other than wasting a good piece of machinery drilling holes in cookies).

Sorry William. At the risk of having to explain a joke, or why I think something is funny...that web site deals with drilling/mining for diamonds by a company...thus the reference to drilling. Someone was killing time so decided to drill an oreo. In addition to the photo of the oreo getting drilled (the almost perfect centering, and the Better-Homes-and-Gardens placement of the crumbs) I thought that some of the ensuing comments were kind of funny too.
