ordering the correct fuel pump.

Ok, this is the second mechanical pump I have ordered for my 79 1500cc Midget that is wrong- I got this one from Moss.

Notice the location of the inlet- it's right next to steering linkage. Also notice that this is one that uses a spacer (I didn't put the spacer on for the pic)

Can someone tell me:

1. A manufacturer who makes a fuel pump with the correct location of inlet/outlet?
2. A part number for a correct fuel pump?
2. Where to get the correct fuel pump?

Hi G,

As the Moss / VB catalogues point out, the original 1500s used a straight-arm pump that is no longer available; the new ones use the spacer.

By loosening or removing the screws around the edge, can the intake & output angles of the pump that you have not be adjusted?

i'm not concerned with the pump arm- it's the inlet/outlet. Yes, I could take the screws out and turn it, but I would prefer to have the correct pump. Like this (#12):

this is interesting, Jeff. Looks not much different than the one I have. I remember the original one had the inlet and outlet relatively close to each other (like in the diagram in my previous post) and pointing towards the back of the engine.
I'm at a total loss now. I have done a lot of detailing work in the engine compartment and I scratch built entire new fuel lines for the car. I'm not too keen on stringing fuel line piping all over the engine compartment either- not so much cosmetic as safety.
 
Shucks, short peice of rubber injector hose will hook you right up. Add a fuel filter where the loop is to make it look correct if your plumbing is a bit off for this.

Think I would see if I could not rotate the top one screw clockwise.
