I'm confoozled. Is there a connection between the Silkwood movie and the Manhattan project?
I don't think there is any DIRECT connection.
 
Thanks Walt. There were a *lot* of important things Truman didn't know until after FDR's death. Imagine taking on the end of the War, with so little inside information.

When Truman learned of FDR's death, he went to the White House and asked Eleanor what he could do for her. She replied, “Is there anything we can do for you? You are the one in trouble now.”
