TR6 opinions wanted - tr6a vs mga

"You can give an MG more power, but you can't make a TR3 prettier" Oh Webb say it ain't so. If you weren't such a nice guy, I'd have to ask you for your address so I could drive to Virginia and kick your ass for such a comment.
Geo, I love your method of adding power to an MGA, how much power gain do five folks pushing add to the power in that thing? It just about doubles it doens't it?

I think in that picture there are two guys named Cameron pushing...so that would make it an MGA "Twin Cam"

Thank you very much...I'm here through Sunday...Don't forget to tip your server...try the veal.

Usually a day or so late but will add my 2 bits-- I drove both cars many, (read many) years ago and went for the TR3 for the acceleration and sort of brute attitude of the 3. The MGA sounded nicer, looked classy but I couldn't ignore the weak engine. Soon I had to sell my TR to get a bigger car for work and couldn't afford to keep both. Over those years I had 5 MGB's but mostly because they were available, cheap and I couldn't find a decent TR3. Last year, I again had the choice of a MGA and a TR3. Again the TR3. You may, however, like the classic look of the MGA and not care about the difference in go-- and no one will fault you for that.

Well, could some one please get a copy of Bill Piggott's book "original triumph TR" and post the full page pix on page 15 of the green TR3 then tell me that the MGA is classier.
