TR6 Opinions on Monza exhaust needed

I have a Bell stainless steel system on my TR3. I purchased it through BSCR (Moss distributor) when there was a backlog of the Tourist Trophy line. It was less expensive, fits well and sounds awesome.....I have no financial interest in BSCR (although Ken is very easy to work with) and extremely happy with my purchase.

I have dual Falcon SS on my '72. I have had them for several years with carbs and EFI. I had Monzas years ago and took them off because of noise. Frankly I hate loud for loud sake exhaust systems. The one thing I have discovered is that the Falcon system and probably other systems like them is that they indicate a lot about the tune of the car. For years when I had carburetors my Falcons were really loud. A friend said that my car smelled of gas when I drove past him one day so I took the carbs off and adjusted the floats down there by leaning out the mixture. Several things happened. 1) the car stopped stinking 2) performance went up 3) fuel mileage went up and 4) the exhaust sound went way down! Over the years I have played with fuel mixtures and timing and at one point for a while I had them sounding like OEM mufflers with an intake hiss louder than the exhaust! Since I have Fuel Injected my engine I have heard my exhaust sound change a lot as I narrow in on the tune maps. I am not a tuning expert but it seems the leaner the quieter.
