We ll we found a 1997 Volvo 960. It is fully loaded and the maintenance very well documented. No rust any where on the car. 120,000 miles, runs and shifts very smoothly...


Opinions on this one? I put a couple of bucks down to hold it until Monday , I came home and did a Carfax report which came clean. Looking for a few other opinions.
 
How does it sound on a cold start? The 2.9(?) six is prone to lifter noise due to clogging of an oil port in the head. They also have a relatively short timing belt interval. Otherwise solid RWD volvo.
 
the previous owner has documented changing the timing belt every 40,000 miles. Starts quickly, no lifter noises. Just slighlty over priced, working on that. I am hoping to pick it up tomorrow for him
