Opinions of George Hudson's idea?

I thought it was annoying this year. I was on the train home from Galveston during the time change. Amtrak burned the hour up by sitting in Alliance Ohio for an hour so that we still arrived in Pittsburgh at 4:35 am rather than modify their schedule for one day... I was ready to be home in my own bed at that point...

George "Vernon" Hudson. Wished I had gone on sooner I actually knew what the boss was talking about. As to his idea I'm so used to it that I've never given it a thought - I've just accepted. I do like getting up when the sun is out so... I guess I am happy with it.

Oh yes, I didn't know his middle name was Vernon but I did 'bing' him to see if what I thought I knew, I really did know.

(Went to school with an Andy Hudson who said his grandfather was George Hudson inventor of daylight savings time. Not sure if it was true but it sounded good and made us look at Andy differently.)

I seem to recall daylight savings time being "reinstated" in the 70's during the energy crisis?

Hateful idea.

But I understand the river named after him passes through some really pretty country.

Having lived most of my life without it (Indiana, then Arizona) I can't say I feel like I've missed anything.

In fact I have avoided missing 60+ hours of sleep by staying a ST year-round.

The only way Arizona would change to DST is if the Federal Government told them they couldn't.

Too true!

Terrible idea.
