Would I be better off to continue using my ZS carb and a Austin Marina Intake, which has a much better exhaust setup, or switch to a set of SU HIF4's and a header? The car in question is a basically stock 77 model "B". Either way I go I'm going to pull the distributor and have it recurved. I'm just trying to figure out which gives me the most bang for the buck.

I don't know much about ZS carbs except that they choke perfectly good MGB engines. Were I in your situation, I would go for dual SUs.

No argument here. SU's fer sure.

Not many (if any) MGB headers flow better than the early dual down MGB manifold for stock and/or mildly modified MGB's. The cast iron manifold will also mean less heat and noise in the engine bay compared to a header.

I second that! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif
