Opel GT for sale near me....

That's what I had before my Midget. Very cool. Harder to work on though. Of course, I just bought an X1/9 so talk about a glutton for punishment. That thing is challenging to wrench on (I suppose anything mid engine would be though).

You'll develop "Lotus Fingers" in short order, j.

If the rest of the car looks as good as the two pix it ought to be a great little ride.

I'm holding out for another Manta like I had in college. Just found one that looks great too (in the ad, anyway). Too bad it's 2,182 miles away.

pc.

I had 2 Manta's; that version in orange and the model that followed it.

I've always like the Rallye (sp?)vwersion of
the Manta (pre- '74).Hard to find nowadays. There was
one on BringaTrailer.com,but sold quickly.

I always thought they were wicked cool. There's a couple that bop around my area -- always an eye-catcher. Didn't know they were hard to work on, though.

Which is wicked cool? Manta? GT?. I like 'em all too. The GT was kinda hard to work just because it was a "Kadett in a party dress" My first chore on my GT was to fix a heater core leak which meant dropping the whole dash which meant taking it all apart, which meant dropping the steering column and eventually taking out the windshield. Removing the oil pan means taking off cross members, engine is usually removed from the bottom of the car.....
They are very good looking (I think) but a bit under powered and while they handle alright they weren't "super great". I really liked mine and would still be driving it today if it weren't wrecked. I give it great credit for crash worthiness. I walked away.
