in front of the rear axle on the drivers side there are two small bolt holes just to the right of the front of the rear springs - they are about 2 inches fron the lower lip of the sheet metal - and about 4 inches apart. I have the bolts - what goes there?

Exhaust hanger

And they have captured nuts.Sigh

groan

(but true - just don't tell swmbo)

don't think it's exhaust hangers though. I've put in two - one on each corner - this is in the axle well on the cockpit side

OK you've lost me. How about a pix.

Here you go - facing forward - rear drivers shock & spring on your left - the two bolts in the centre of the picture - thanks

OK I didn't misunderstand. I stand with my original answer. Exhaust hanger.

OK - I'll be happy to learn on this one - will check in the morning

Agree with those above, exhaust hanger.

Well, I , for one, do not think they're for the exhaust hanger!

Just kidding... they're for the exhaust hanger.

And - of course it was exhaust hanger - exhaust now installed, but, a couple of exhaust questions.

1. Does your exhaust go over or under the rear axle? - mine goes under.

2. The catalytic converter pipe just touches the bottom of the car as it turns towards the rear of the car (underneath) yet everything is reassembled as was - except new motor mounts - they don't settle do they? I presume this isn't good.

3. Looks good - I painted it black - very aggressive

I've not installed mine yet, but the new system I bought from Moss goes under.

Mine on the 1275 is under, but I do recall that some of the newer performance ones going over.

I do not remember how the 1500 runs, touching is not a good thing.

My new exhaust from APT goes over the rear axle. No idea yet on how to mount it, that's a problem for a later date.
