OOOOO

No - Nicer neighbors.The one's I have are jerks.
One told me that I had two weeks to remove the Capri,
in a very unpolite way.He runs his construction busi-
ness out of his house,so he has people coming & going,
& parks his trailers in the same ally.BUT - he has a
HARLEY!!!The other people that live down the ally are
his buddies (one from high school),so it's like deal-
ing with a high school clique.

Those Capris are just gorgeous, and have qualified as "rare" for at least 30 years. You could also buy the Consul Classic, with 2 or 4 doors, which is the same car up to the waist, with the addition of a slanted rear screen, like the 105E Anglia and various Mercurys.

My dad had a brand new Corsair in 1964 (I was 5...) and had endless problems with the brakes. It was a 1500, 2 door in Goodwood Green. 18 years later I picked up a 1969 4 door Corsair 2000E which was a real luxury car.

I think the 1960s UK Fords were glorious, and the 50s Vauxhalls; both being heavily influenced by their American parents.

If that blue Capri is still available, it'll be a darn good buy! I didn't know there were any at all in the US; whoever buys it will be opening long conversations with strangers, just as I do over here with my 71 Capri.

We've been attacked by the "county" for "Inoperable Vehicles".

I suspect a property owner in this subdivision has decided his property isn't selling due to the aforementioned vehicles. 50 complaints. We were found "in violation" for having the MG on jack-stands.

To elaborate is to go into politics.

I'm refined, no projectile weapons were involved. The "violations" have been mitigated as of today.

:madder: :wall:

Doc, that is one good reason to keep the shop. I have all sorts of odd and disabled cars here, and no one can say a peep about it. I once had some fine upstanding citizen complain that I was "running a body shop out of the house". I was doing some heavy duty detailing on personal cars, had a friends MK9 in the garage while his was being painted, and my jag and a sprite legally parked on the street, and covered to keep clean. The yard was nice, good grass, edged, house neat and tidy and all that. The complainer had weeds for grass, house needed painting... The county inspector just shook his head and left without further comment. Pinheads!!

Yup, I agree, Jesse. Took the Elan S3 down to the shop about eight months ago. Trouble is, I gotta commute 50 miles one way to WORK on it now.
