A good friend has been clearing out his storage unit (native Floridian, moved to Washington state a few years back) and brought me a nifty RECARO seat!!! Was s'posed to go into a Seven race-car I built a T/C engine for a few years ago but A) it was too wide and B) they sold the car... Now I have a nice Recaro seat fer the Elan!!! WOOHOO!!!

Reeky Recaro?

Ooooh LUUUUUUUUUUCY...

Seat. As in singular? Don't ya need 2, or doesn't horsemits getta go along?

I see nothin' wrong with ONE seat. Milk crates work for passengers... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

... 'sides, SHE's gettin' a bee-uteeful '64 MGB to terrorize th' natives with! She ain't gonna want to ride about in my ratty-tatty Lotus anyhoo.

Actually, I figger I'm half way to a "set" without any money spent yet! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Doc:

Glad to see the glass is half full.

I gather that the milk crate is heated with lumbar support.

Patrick

Morelike "self-bailing" actually. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Just for passengers eh?

That must leave some interesting posterior patterns...not to mention being a pain in the glutius maximus.

Sad thing is, i'm not exactly sure if my "rebuilt" driver's seat (read: craft store foam pads under an Autozone seat cover) is more comfortable.

Looks like yer handbrake needs a bit of "adjustment" there, Cam. Four clicks is all you should get. but otherwise everything else looks in order./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Funny you should mention that, my handbrake dosen't hold for sod...before I had her running I was able to push the car about, not noticing until after that I neglected to put the lever down! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Couldn't find my milk crate yesterday when I went to move the B yesterday so I sat on the unwelded floorboard. Vision is very limited but possible to drive.

Well, I've done some cal-koo-latein'... It won't FIT the Elan either. BAH! Looks like th' B has a Recaro driver's seat after all. Herself will be insufferably pleased. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Whoa...Doze are really snappy! I'd have to have a set of matching seats in miniature version for our three feline children, though!
Thanks for link. Did you happen to see the contest for wheel design? I better get on it!

Since Elan seats are not much more than lawn chairs with high sides, I say just throw a lawn chair in the passenger side.

"HIGH FIVE!" Sam!!!
