needed help on my tr7 with dual zs.car is hard to start only wants to run with choke on when fully warmed up.seems like its flooding itself out.when i take the choke off and try to restart it it wont start for about 5 minutes after.any help would be thankful

Hi John, it sounds like you are not using the choke correctly.Yes if the choke is left on after the engine has warmed up it will flood and restarts may be difficult Try using the choke to start and then gradually reduce it during engine warmup until it is full off when engine is warmed up.---Fwiw---Keoke

yeah it seems like there is a problem with the cable.when i push it all the way in the car just shuts down.if i pull it it seems like the cables arent pulling in sequence

Have someone operate the choke pull from the dashboard while you watch to see it operating with the hood open. See what is happening and then report back in.

Maybe it's not warm enough. There are different steeing than just off and on. Leave the choke on, and slowly bring it in as the car warms up. My car doesn't come close to fully warming up, even on my drive to work - especially this time of year.

when my 6 would only run on choke I fixed it by finally checking and topping up the daspot oil in the carbs. If your ZS carbs use dashpot oil you ought to check it out...(if you haven't already)
