Dick Cole, who was Jimmy Doolittle's copilot is now the last remaining Tokyo Raider. He's now 100 years old and is still traveling. Truly a remarkable man among a group of remarkable men.

Earlier this year, we lost the last of the Navy carrier pilots who flew at Midway. Unfortunately, we're going to be seeing quite a few of the "Last of..." in the upcoming years. 95 percent of the World War II generation has now passed.
 
I remember not too long ago, I saw a documentary on the Doolittle Raid on the American Heroes Channel, where they interviewed some of the participants. I was struck by how ordinary the men seemed, yet how brave they actually were.
