One of those days/Quality Time with the 75 B

So the mission was very simple, get up early, get the 75 B inspected, get home and relax. Went to the inpection garage around 8 AM and got the car up on the lift. Found a bad caliper and a leaking wheel cylinder. "Fix it and bring it back" was what I was told. I had gone over the car very well before the big MG 2005 trip but that was 7,500 miles ago. So I got to spend some time with the B I've owned the longest. Replaced one caliper, both wheel cylinders, front pads and rear linings. Also cleaned up the drums and painted them along with the caliper I replaced. Best thing was that I had everything I needed on the shelf so didn't have to wait for a parts delivery. Got the car back to the inpection place by mid-afternoon and got the inpection completed. It was a satifying day.

Have to re-stock my brake parts shelf next week.

Glad I don't have to go through those inspections!
 
I really don't mind the annual safety check. I've been using the same place for 20+ years and they let me put the cars on the lift and give it a good once over every year.

As for keeping parts on hand... funny story: When my son was in high school I heard him on the phone w/ a friend. "We can't go, what the matter with the car? ..... Radiator hose, doesn't your dad have an extra one in the garage?" Adam actually grew up thinking that what alot of

But I can't wait to get the project to the point where that's all I need suffer before hitting the road....
