One of the Best Dean Martin roasts

For those of you old enough to remember the Dean Martin roasts (and I'm guessing that's most of us here), this one with Don Rickles roasting Bob Hope has to be one of the best! So may great Americans on the dias! Some of the jokes are jokes only Don Rickles could get away with!

I saw Don Rickles perform live many years ago. I'd love to share with you what he did to two guys in the audience, but I'm afraid it would be my last post... but it was hilarious.

You must be too young to remember. The Dean Martin celebrity roasts were great, and usually had lots of great entertainers and just great people on the dais, like in this case - General Omar Bradly, Ronald Reagan, Neal Armstrong, 7-time Olympic Gold Medalist Mark Spitz, and of course the late great Bob Hope who spent a good part of his career entertaining troops, often right on the front lines etc. What was great about these roasts, is they were great fun without using vulgarity as too many of today's so-called comedians rely on these days to be "funny."

I've seen films of him live, sop I can imagine! Rickles could do things to people and get away with it that others could not do!
