Discovery is UP! I got to see another launch! WOOHOO!!!

...actually just a pinpoint ball of orange light on an ever-rising column of vapor, but thrilling nonetheless.
 
Doc...won't be to many more of those to watch with just 3 years left to the Shuttle program...guess from your view point Orion will appear the same... ball of orange light on an ever-rising column of vapor.
 
I got to see about the same thing. I do like when the launch at night. Easy to see all the way down here in WPB.

I agree! This one wasn't too spectacular...too much haze! Usually from my vantage point one can see the boosters drop off and a pretty long contrail, but not this time and I tried to film it!
