Well, the Toyota died today as my wife was going to her doctor checkup visit. the head gasket I unwisely did not change finally let loose. It was fun driving it back on 3-4 cylinders instead of 6. had to put it into 4L to get up my steep drive - no power at all below 4000 rpm. It's now parked, once again, in my "dead car" parking spot. Someone on here asked me how much I'd take for it... $1500 bring a trailer.
I stopped and picked up some brake pads for the MG on the way home. If it's not raining this weekend, I'll be replacing the front bearings, and brakes... and fitting up the HS6 SU carb that I got from Doc E awhile back. Then all the wheels come off for some new paint and tires. I need to get the steel brake line for the right rear brakes, and replace the rear brake cylinders. Then an oil change and it should be ready to go.
