Grand Prix , maybe the best ever racing movie, is on today at 12:45 eastern. Got my popcorn ready!

It's a toss up between that and LeMans for me. Got 'em both on DVD though /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

This may sound like sacrilege, but what LeMans really needs is a plot. Other than that, it's terrific.

Ya gotta see the "making of gran prix"...they used a Ford GT 40 for a camera car!

Some of that was actually on before the movie. Interesting footage.

As far as car movies go, you must remember I work with Mopar guys all day. All discusion invariably lead to "Have you seen Vanishing Point?"

Ken Costello, father of the MGV8, drove one of the Formula cars at speed during filming.

Just a mild disagreement. The problem Grand Prix is that it has a plot, a pretty dumb one. Action stuff is great.

I still remember going to see LeMans,
when it was first released.I was stoked!
I've got to get the DVD.
