We finished rebuilding the brakes today and they seem to be working correctly. Caliper rebuilding was tough.

Now we need to get the dash loose so we can repair messy wires, heater cables, etc. Can't quite figure out the instructions in Bentley on removal...first of all the heater control knobs won't "push in and pull off". Any tricks and suggestions on getting it loose? Where are all the bolts located? Thanks.

There's a li'l hole somewhere on the circumference of th' knob. A 1/16" punch in that hole should push the detent in and allow ya to slide th' knob off'n th' shaft. If it doesn't "detent" spritz some loose juice in there and WAIT a while. Even WD-40 will be acceptable in this case.

Thanks Dr...I found the holes. Now if I can just find where this dash attachs to the car!!! Oh yeah, it's a '71 MGB.

Look along the top of the dash & you'll see a series of holes - there are studs on the car corresponding with those holes...& along the bottom should be either holes where supports attach or the supports themselves depending on how thedash was removed.
