Howdy-

Just finished a test drive of my TR4 and since nothing fell off, I think my suspension rebuild was a complete success!

New leaf springs, coils, shocks, bushings, trunnions, replaced bent vertical link, swapped out worn out steering rack. And new rims and tires as a special treat. No more squeaks, squawks, or other mysterious noises when I drive, and no embarassing lean on the drivers side anymore - well worth the pain of the work I think. Unfortunately now with that cleaned up suspension the paint job is starting to look a little tatty..oh well!

Cheers,
Randy

Congrats, Randy -

I know it's more rewarding to drive. And the cosmetics can always be done "down the road." In the meantime, enjoy!

Thanks all for the kind words - really didn't have a reason to post, but my car had been on jack stands for about 2 months and I had encountered more than one problem along the way - when I finally tightened the last bolt and took it out for a spin I was feeling pretty happy.

I put on Kumho 195-65/15 tires, wheels are bolt on KN 5.5" Minators sold by Moss and others, center caps are fake knockoffs I picked up on ebay. Good thing the car doesn't sag anymore otherwise fender clearance on the front would be a small issue.

I like the Kumhos so far (all 10 miles worth) - seem to be very good value, readily available
