On the quest for power.....

172 HP is flywheel power. Wheel power is 120 HP.
But I would say that is good enough for stock valve sizes and stock crank.

As Kas says: Power sells cars, torque wins races.

Stock crank for sure.

Unless you have an expensive gearbox with whatever ratios you need at that particular track

Sure I run a stock crank - why else should I invent this special split seal ring to fit the stock crank of my engine.

This is with stock seal:

And after installation of the splitseal to the stock crank:

Clean as you can see.

The split seals is installed into the stock aluminum seal halves so that there are two sealings behind each other .

Unfortunately the gearbox has no alternative gear sets.
It is close ratio, but you can change the axle ratio, which I've never done.
If a gear doesn't fit, I drive faster to use the next one :driving:

Just curious, what does a straight cut set of gears cost for a TR4? I looked into them for my TR adapted Toyota R154 transmission and they are about $7500 U.S. For as much as I love the sound of straight cut gears I can't justify that cost.
