"OMG! This thing is frieaken fast!"

See, now you guys have me thinking that I need to ride over & take another look at the pair of derelict 928's I've seen in a guy's drive for the last 8 or so years!

The Emperor (Basil) & I (Darth Vader) encourage you to stop fighting it & give in to the Dark Side Tony? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

BTW I just finished updated my website with a dedicated Shark Page. Bret's Black Shark /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Nice web site, Bret....yeah, but I don't think buying the 2 derelict 928's is a positive thing to do!

& I really think this is the best view of the 928....something about the rounded curves of that rump...sigh!

Thanks Tony, But you're probably right about the two derelicts (having sat for so long), perhaps they'd make good parts cars.

GASP!! You're B page doesn't have a link to BCF! Akkk! Please don't make me come over there and put a bat up your night dress!

A friend of mine had a black/black early 80's 928 5 speed. He let me drive it down a country road I was very familar with. I stood on it & by the time I was in 2nd I was pressing 80. They are extremely quiet & smooth, so you gotta watch the speedo. Good thing is they are way more balanced then the 911 series! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yes they are. They are extremely stealthy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

BTW Basil, if you look at my home page I do have a link to the BCF. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Naw Jim, Way too many pots in the fire to consider bringing home yet another orphan. Besides I’m still trying to figure out German at the moment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Bret - when I was at the muffler shop I spotted a customer's red Shark...but he had huge wheel flairs on his with real wide tires! Sorta like a 930

Yup, some of the later year Sharks like the GTS had a much wider stance than the early ones like mine. Chances are you saw one of those.

However, you can still stick some pretty wide tires even in the early ones like mine. In fact I'm looking at mounting some 18x8 (50mm off set) 225/40/ZR18 up front and 18x10 (65mmOS) 265/35/ZR18.

geebus... dems big wheels... something like that would look just plain wierd on a B.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
