OMG! The truck driver just called...

The Healey should be here tonight around 7-8 PM

With the roads and drive layered in ice, it should be real interesting getting the car safely into the garage.

For one, I don't know if it will start. Secondly, I don't know if it will clutch/declutch. And I already know the brake hydraulics are shot. I did tell paul to be sure the handbrake would work though!

I'll let y'all know once it's tucked in

In "Basil parlance", the toy has arrived!

A few of its traveling buddies were a 31 Cord, 59 Porsche Cabriolet, 66 Corvette racecar and a "basketball player's" 67 Mustang.

The brakes were/are all but locked up, which made pushing it off the truck quite a chore! Sue used the X5 to pull the Healey up the drive with me steering. With the help of a couple of neighbors (and a come-a-long) we got it into the garage with relatively little trouble.

Give me a few, and I'll get some pictures posted...

Most excellent Randy! Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Naturally, there'll be better pictures once I get the car "spritzed" up a bit.

Looks great!

The color appears deeper than the pictures the painter took. I think I remember you saying previously that those pictures didn't reproduce the color very well. Are the pictures you just posted truer to life?

In any case it looks VERY VERY NICE!

The car looks super Randy, very nice. I also know how exciting it must be for you. Good Luck with the rest of the resto.

Sure! I'll be around all this weekend, gone all next weekend and no plans for any of the immediately following weekends.

Randy, The color of your car looks great. However, looking at your photos, there seems to be some white stuff piled up around your garage. Looks like cold grits. Might want to keep it out of that stuff, Healeys like it warm...Have fun bolting everything back on

Looks like the X5 is out in the cold for the duration of the Winter! Looks great, Randy!

You go guy!!! I am so pleased for you. I can tell that you have already bonded with him?, her?

One question? Do all Healey owners get as emotionally attached to their Healey as I am to "Agatha?"

Have to pass on a comment I just received. Agatha and I went out to play yesterday and a fellow came up to me and talked about her. I, of course, immediately informed him that this beauty was female and her name was Agatha. At that he replied, "If I was a car, I'd ask her out for date!"

As an f/y/i I am keeping a journal for Agatha and recording some of these comments.

I'd post Agatha's picture but at the moment I seem to be having an attack of cranial flattulance.
