The fuel regulator. Rarely am I wrong, but dahubby and I just discussed this. That regulator has been in Emma since we bought her! I swear I don't remember ever seeing it, I had to look at old engine bay pictures before I'd believe him! I said, "Why'd you guys put a regulator on when the fuel pump is self-regulating?" Hehe. Boy did I get told!

And the fuel pump is an Autozone pump, bought 8-99, with a lifetime guarantee.

It is DPO, not DH!!!

<whispering> get a SU pump /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

"I tought I taw a DPO"
"I diiid! I did taw a DPO!"

Ya'll hush. I admitted I was wrong. Wasn't sure how to do it since I'm never wrong.

So, now you can go back & fix what we all told you was the problem back when...& you can put the old carb back on

hehehehehehe

Oh, you don't think she still has the old carb do ya. It was removed with the SawZall or what ever.

No more for you Jeff, you like it too much.

Tony? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

I do still have the ZS, I practice on it with the sawzall and angle grinder.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

See if I EVER admit I was wrong to you guys again as long as I live.

Wish you'd pack up all that ZS stuff & send it to me...I've got a shelf full & am collecting all I can find!

Tony, I told ya you could have it. But do you have to have the choke conversion? Someone in the club asked last fall at our car show if they could buy it, I was just going to give it to Stephanie...

Jaybird, not meaning to make Tony upset, I woulden't get rid of the ZS carb setup just yet. A lot of people have had do do a mad scramble to find overpriced "original equipment" setups for thier classics, when thier respective states passed emissions laws requiring thier cars to be absolutly stock.
I know you don't need it now, but the way things are going, who can tell 5 years down the road.
Personally, I would find a dry corner to stuff it away in so you never have to pay 3X over for a new one from the guy that knows how desprate everyone in your state is to get one, just so they can keep thier classic on the road, leagally.

that thar banjo feller has a gud point...

Chuck has already said he didn't want to get rid of it because if we'd ever sell Emma down the road, he's taking the SUs off and putting the ZS back on her. Then he told me to do whatever I wanted with them. I never thought about the emissions aspect of it.

AHA, that's why you're hanging onto 'em Tony.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hehe, I could just see me buying my ZS back from Tony in years down the road.

Ummm...Ben (& Chuck) have good points. Lemme think on it.

& I don't want any of those crappy manual choke conversion kits either...so, Janel, give it to your club member....
