What's this I hear about the teams uniform are chinese made??
How disgusting! Is that what were down to now?
Sorry if this sounds political, but just voicing my personal opinion. I hope this hasn't been outlawed yet! PJ

While I share your disgust, I can't help but think it's a bit late in coming. When I was on active duty in the USAF 18 years ago MOST of our uniform items were made in other countries, including China. I imagine it's the same today. Now THAT should bother people now and it should of then.

I agree with what your saying, but I blame the Olympic committee for choosing the chinese to make the uniforms for our kids, who are representing the USA. I'm also an advocate of federal funding of our athletes, but I know that will never happen. It's more important to line someones pockets than to take care of the kids. I've only missed 2 Olympics in 40 years and it's always been the same, other countries fund their Olympians and we make ours, (basically), scratch for money to fund themselves. Quite a legacy to leave behind. PJ

Hmmmm - I think the Olympic committee chose Ralph Lauren Inc. And Ralph Lauren Inc. chose the Chinese to make the uniforms.

Increase the profit! at all costs!

Doubly frustrating: you can walk into Sears or Penneys, and immediately find white pants and blue blazers made in the USA. Ready to wear.

I dunno, American designed, then outsourced to be made as cheaply as possible. Seems to be a pretty accurate representation of how we do things. Why is it suddenly an issue now?

Try finding a dress belt made in US. (If you know where I can get one, let me know). Everywhere I go - Sears, Penny's, Mervins, it doesn't matter - the belts are all made in China.
