found some free time last night and decided to clean out the trunk on the bugeye I got from Floridia, Found the spare to be orginal wheel with a very old Firestone tire mounted and a chome hubcap with a big "A" on it, so Im assumeing it has been there a long time. Tire is still holding air and is not dry rotted but has been used.

contact your local university and ask if they want to analyze 50 year old air? - seriously - I know some schools have tested the air inside old military buttons

Here's a '62 A35 van with the same wheels:

And a link to the site that picture is on.

I thought the original bugeye wheels had round holes around the inner disc. I am definitely not an expert though...

Brand new hubcaps for the Austin A30s and 35s can be had from Bullmotif in England. One stop shopping for Morris Minor and Austin owners.

You are correct about the bugeye wheels!

Picture of original Bugeye wheel (with decorative and lightening holes) with original AH hubcap and quite possibly original Dunlop Gold Seal C41 Crossply tyre, which (thankfully) stopped being made in the mid 1960s.

If you are racing and remove the glass lights, AH hubcaps will fit right in the empty bucket, look great, and they're tasty!
