You guys that are buying new seat if you have an old bottom for the seat that tips and the bottom is not too full of holes I would be interested in buying it. I have one that has too many pin holes, but that is often the case the bottoms go out first and badly.

Don't know how bad yours are but good ones are rare. I have a few but not perfect and expensive shipping. There are reproductions available at a reasonable price. I think the seats below are welded from two pieces rather than stamped from one as original. Seems there was a post on this recently by my quick search didn't find it.

Hello Steve

Tom is correct the KAS ones are made from 2 pieces but are well made and a good price even including shipping.

I might have one original pan that is usable. I'll have to dig through the storage to check it out.

Heck Dave that thing is beautiful, but I am so cheap. How much was that bottom pieces? John thanks for digging through your stuff to see. You must have a busy life with kids at home and all the work you do. I am retired pretty much so I am in no hurry plus my car is going slow until I get this painting figured out some; I do appreciate it.

It is well made and the only difference is the 2 piece construction.

It was $95.55 Australian (which comes to $70.10 US$) plus shipping.of about $85.00. I did have 2 seat bottoms to ship. It was the way to go for me as my seats were worse than I thought when I started.

Hey Steve,

Finally got to the shed. Of all the used seat parts I accumulated over 5 years, this is the only one I kept, as it is the only one that doesn't show light through it. It has a little distortion at the rear mounting holes, but no visible cracks. There is either some very thick paint, or some sort of tar/wax based stuff on it that would need to be cleaned off...but I bet that is what kept it rust free for all these years.

Anyway, let me know if you're still interested.

No worries...I'll get it out soon as I find a box. Are you still on Crystal springs Rd?
