I'm almost ready to get the Cortina MKII (1500GT)
going again.
It's been sitting for over a year with 1-2 gallons
of gas in a 12 gallon tank.My question is this -
- as Calif. gas seems to go bad faster than other states,
could I dilute it by filling the tank,or does it need to be drained?

- Doug

Doug, I think you can probably get away with just filling the tank. A bottle of dry gas or Seafoam wouldn't hurt.
When are you going to send the pics?
Jeff

The best thing to do is drain it, however I would probably make sure the filter is clean, drive it to the gas station, fill it up and burn that entire tank of fuel in one long drive. Gotta love it when maintenance involves driving the car. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

And Doug has some beautiful roads to choose from to run the maintenance schedule.

Jeff,

I sent out the pictures tonight (sorry).
Took the TR6 out yesterday with the Wife.
I can't wait to get the Cortina back on the road,
but want to be wise in getting there.
Thanks for the responses.

Doug, I got the pictures, but will have to wait until tomorrow to finish downloading them. I'll put some up here when I can.
Thanks!
Jeff
