My Uncle Steve said, Some of the wisest people he knew never went to school, lived and worked on farms, and were on a first name basis with God.
My experience says he was right.

Excellent piece Tony. Thanks

all good.

Especially: " * If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.* "

It'll humble ya instantly. :smirk:

Thanks, Roy...but they aren't my thoughts...I found them on another web site & they reminded me so much of the type advice my grampa gave me that I thought I'd share them here. Several of them are words he told me that I try to live by. I remember one in particular that he probably told me weekly as I went down to the local gas station where he and several old guys usually relaxed on a Saturday morning with their whittlin' (never saw them amke anything except piles of wood shavings!).....He'd give me a dime for the morning serials and a nickle for a Coke.....& he'd always tell me: <span style="font-style: italic">"Son, remember one thing: When it comes to money, there's no such thing as friends or family."</span>
