Not looking for a repeat on the dizzy debate;
just posting a photo for general curiosity.
I was looking thru old photos of the restoration
of my TR6. There has been much debate during the
past year over the dizzy install in my car being
180 degrees wrong.
I found this photo of the not-yet-functional engine
that shows everything replaced except DPO Pedro's
distributor and his funky brake master cylinder. Shortly
after this photo was taken I pulled the dizzy and sent
it to Jeff for rebuilding.
Clearly, the car was purchased with the dizzy rotated
180* from normal. The No.1 plug wire was at 2:00,
as it still is in my new install.
PDO Pedro never had the engine apart so that means some
other PO got the dizzy drive installed in reverse.
Interesting none-the-less. Click on image to enlarge
