Out for a drive this afternoon and stopped by the Biker Bar
for some grub and a cold one. Saw this Monte Carlo in
the parking lot with a "For Sale" sign in the window.
Paint job looks OK from 10 feet- home brewed any closer.

I was thinking about getting a set of them fancy Gansta
wheels for my '69 TR6 since it also is red..

I owned a 71 blue Monte Carlo when I got out of high school. Always thought they had nice lines for American iron.

I like the cream ones with the gold strip that filled the area between the top of the finder and the raised panel part way down the side.

I do not know if I would like it if I saw it for the first time now, but I thought it looked very classy back then.

Hey Dale, Before you buy it, make sure the horn plays "La Cucaracha" If it don't it's just a poser.

And you need the "gangsta" wheels with the spinners!! Anything else is just a poser!!!

Let me try to picture this:

A kinda restored red 1969 TR6-

Puerto Rican Reggaeton spinner Gansta wheels with a Los
Angeles Mexican jumping bean suspension on a once Pedro-ized,
40 year old British sportscar driven by a mangy, grey haired
old Gringo Geezer in levittown, PR with a red haired girl
from northern England sitting in the passenger seat; pulling
into the local biker bar- El Caracol for a Don Q con china
and a diet Coco Rico.

YouTube funny video of the award candidate!!

:cooler:

Mike- when they first appeared, we were out to dinner with friends and a beatup
truck was was parked near to us with those wheels. My buddy and I bent down
for a closer closer look at them.

A young feller appeared out of nowhere and was braggin' on his $4,000,
wheels with spinners and LEDs. Also braggin' he was kitchen help working his
way upward for a better job.

My buddy and I just shook our heads.

Now THAT'S a mental image to savor!!! :jester:

I've always had a soft spot for the 73-77 Monte Carlos. In fact the car I used in Drivers ed back in high school was a 1976 that looked a lot like this one.
