Hey, I'm with you, honestly. Not to say I don't enjoy my 308, but I do actually prefer the Triumphs to the Ferrari. They're easier to work on, so much cheaper to own and maintain, more fun to cruise around in, and they're just simply where my heart is.
 
The guy in the 30s Packard is in a lost world of elitism, you were driving a toy in his circle. The guy in the Le Mans is probly lost in the 60s American muscle car only era and you're in an alpine or mg are some other silly little car. He gets the same treatment from true GTO guys.

I have been lucky I suppose... I have had nothing but good encounters for the most part. At least twice this past year, I have had American muscle car owners aproach me first!

The coldest I have been recieved was when I stopped to help a broken down Fiat on the road. The guy asked what I was driving "an old MG?", I explained it was 6, and he shrugged and we went back to tring to fix his car. (he ended up needing a jump... guess his alternator wasnt working)
