Over the past year I have been scanning photos from the family archives for my Mom. She has been in assisted living, and last year for Christmas, I loaded a number of old photos on a digital photo frame for her. She had a marvelous life of travel, and her father was a camera enthusiast as well as an educator who had not left the farm until he put himself through college. One of the recent photo finds is from his time at Muhlenberg College, and it shows what may be a Buick, but I cannot ID the model or year. Any ideas?
I will also post one photo from my Mom's travels just to share a favorite...

Hmm maybe not. I see some differences.
 
I think it's closer to this:

Note in the original image there is no badge on the top of the radiator. Buicks and Oldsmobiles of that era had them, Cadillacs didn't.

To me, it looks like the lower left corner of the license plate says 1913. :smile:

"side by side" comparison - note the similarity in the cowls right behind the bonnet...er hood! :smile:
 
I agree that the plate is marked 1913, so the car had to be 1913 or earlier. Thanks all. Knowing my grandfather's history, this was probably a car from a visitor...

This was their normal transportation

Just a wild idea.... since you can read the license plate do you think you can research it with the state of PA and get a copy of the registration? I don't think it that far fetched... they may have it!
 
It looks to me like a 1911 - 1913 Model 25 Touring..
 
Don't think so . The front end on that one is pretty short.

yea, and that's July in PA!
I think you guys are right on with the Cadillac.If you look close enough you can see the script on the grille.
 
Ok.. just watched the Buick video. Pretty neat, but I was crackin' up as he drove away, and all you hear is the cricket chirping.
