Today the temp is going to 104F, which is pretty high, but, in July 1934 it went to 112F, and in 1980 and 2011 the temp went to 113F in July/August. They are actual temps, not heat index temps, they are much higher!:rolleyes2:

It was 106 on my front porch yesterday. I finally caved and turned on the A/C.

Stay cool gentleman

But according to one "weatherman" we must have had a "wind chill". He said, the temperature was 102 and "felt like" 101. go figure.

I went out at the break of dawn and mowed a few acres of pasture, even though one tractor has an airconditioned cab, the unit is mounted in the cab roof and not the best in these 100-degree temps, the rest of the day I'll be pretty much housebound. :thumbsup2: :thirsty:

Once, in summer of 2003, whist driving through Ok City on I-40, I snapped this picture of my "outside" temp on my Corvette dash. 123°F! Of course I'm sure this was not the ambient temp but likely the result of the concrete and asphalt road. But dang, it was hot that day.

This isn't the first time I have experienced the phenomonen of going to start the car or truck and having the temp gauge move up off the stop BEFORE the engine starts. Supposed to be 105 here this weekend.....

108° today, though the picture makes it look more like 107°.

One hot British Car Day in Dixon, CA or was it Chino, we had LBCs overheating on the showground. Engines were not running.
