Thanks, Don - that helped...got in touch with Pat Cashman (who works for the local newspaper)...he knows the car & some of its history...

So far, I've learned its been sitting in one place for about 4 years & was part of a lawsuit between the owner & city some years ago....the owner appears to be an interesting enough guy, originally from California or Hawaii.....longish grey hair, salt/pepper beard, rides a bicycle...lives in a camper in back of the building where the car sits, has no telephone or computer, uses the public library for internet access...mid-40's to early 50's & only way to get in touch with him is sit outside his camper until he appears....

Looks like I've got to make a trip to Vicksburg after the holidays to learn anything more though my contact in Vicksburg will keep his eyes open in case he sees the owner on the street or in a business somewhere.
